So, how has Running Wilde been, you ask? Seems its ratings are not 'running wilde' and are staying dismally low. So, for that reason, FOX has decided to BENCH the struggling show for two weeks during sweeps. Looks like FOX may be finally giving up on the struggling series. Sad.... (evil grin)
So, what are they running during sweeps in place of Running Wilde? Two guesses. And here's a hint: This show has been run in its time slot before. You guessed it, Raising Hope. But not just Raising Hope, RERUNS of Raising Hope. So, it's bad enough to lose your time slot to another fledgling series, but to lose to its RERUNS? Will Arnett must be furious...
AND, there's speculation of show replacement mid season, and it looks like they have found a candidate. The show in question stars Christian Slater and is called "Breaking In." And they have good reason to replace it, since Running Wilde's latest rating was a dismal 1.3.
I was so hoping that I would get to blog about this show's failure during this class, and since it's probably going to happen, I will explain why I feel this show didn't make it. First of all, the storyline of the show was a bit odd. I mean, a selfish billionaire who is trying to find himself so he can make a jealous jungle woman and her kid fall in love with him? I dunno how many people could relate to this. Or find humor in this. I mean, it's just too far out there. Another reason that the show could have failed is that after watching Glee and Raising hope aka 1 and a half hours of FOX, maybe people just wanted to go to bed. Or eat dinner so they could then watch the news.
Either way, it had a good shot at being successful. It just wasn't a good show. So, goodbye, programming blog. I will miss you. :(
Blog Frog: out.
